NBA 2K21: Fans’ Features Wishlist
Your most awaited game NBA 2K21 is all expected to launch early September 2020. Do you want to know what NBA 2K21 looks like? Here is Fans’ Features Wishlist for nine major things 2K could do or add to the new game to make it better.
1. Improved Servers
The biggest upgrade for a new NBA 2K title would be to improve server stability. This has been a continued complaint amongst the community.
2. Revamp On The Archetype and Progression System
This is by far the most intensive and far-fetched wish. Players should be created as a real-life replica and not portray features of larger than life grossly overpowering teams around them. The idea is that 2K should remove the current archetype concept to allow free player creation with its own limitations so that there are no unrealistic creations of the players.
3. Upgraded MyTeam Evolution (EVO)
In NBA 2K20 MyTeam, the EVO cards refer to special cards for players that are dynamic. But oftentimes MyTeam stops the card development at a certain level. Gamers end up frustrated at the time they put in. Nobody wants to put in the effort to upgrade an EVO card when a better card is going to drop in the future. Perhaps in NBA 2K21, they could continue the upgrades over the life of the card to the highest possible level.
4. MyTeam Draft Mode
NBA 2K20’s version of MyTeam was the best feature has been since it was introduced. However, there is one area where it seems things are still lacking, and it is the absence of a draft mode.
Every other major sports video game series that has a collector mode has a draft option. It’s hard to imagine 2K would go another year without their own.
5. Better Tools To Allow Startup League In Pro-Am
Private matchmakings would allow fans to set up their own leagues in Pro-Am, and we would love to really see its better version in NBA 2K21. Online Pro-Am Leagues include commissioner capabilities like stat tracking, stream hosting ad season awards. All of this will aid fans in creating their own 2K League like experience.
6. Improving The VC Grind Issue
Currently, VC can be earned through MyCreer game mode. This is insanely mundane and we hope the developers address this issue sooner rather than later. We hope now that the developers come up with new innovative ways to earn and purchase VC for game lovers to have new methods to get what they need whether they are power-ups for boosts or otherwise.
7. New Badges
There should be a badge that recognizes and implements a big man’s ability to stay with a guard for two dribbles after a switch. There should be a badge for players on offense too who excel at making shots after their man has been screened away from the ball. These two badges would definitely increase the amount of strategy in the game and in every mode of NBA 2K.
8. A Kobe Bryant Tribute Mode
After Bryant’s untimely passing in January, it seems almost impossible to imagine 2K’s tribute to the deceased legend is over. They have honored him in-game with some digital murals, but nothing quite as grand as should be expected for this year’s game when the team has had a chance to work on something more in-depth. I’d expect to see some sort of Bryant tribute mode.
9. Female MyPlayers
We can see 2K seeking permission to use Bryant’s daughter Gianna’s influence and inspiration as a way to finally incorporate female MyPlayers into the game. A step was taken in NBA 2K20 with the inclusion of the WNBA; Female MyPlayers is the next stage, and Gianna would be a perfect inspiration.
As far as customization there are a few ideas. Using a similar image uploader to WWE 2K to let gamers upload their faces for MyPlayer is a great idea. More body types and a more simplified editing system could also go a long way towards improving customization.
